Football Recap: Dawson Eagles vs. Shadow Creek Sharks
Dawson proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 55) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 30-27 victory over the Shadow Creek Sharks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since September 19, 2024.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dawson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gregory Earl, who rushed for 96 yards and one TD. Another player making a difference was Corey Brown, who gained 90 total yards and a touchdown.
Dawson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kayden Rogers and Bryson Flynn. James Higgins was another major factor on D, making 15 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Several Sharks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chris Stewart, who picked up 164 receiving yards and one score.
