Softball Recap: West Wendover Comes Up Short

West Wendover lost against Oasis Academy on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolverines lost 18-2 to the Bighorns. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Wendover saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenzie Gonzalez, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Piper Goode also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

West Wendover's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Oasis Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Oasis Academy beat West Wendover by a score of 17-1 later that day.
