Baseball Game Preview: Litchfield Terriers vs. Lenawee Christian Cougars

The Litchfield Terriers will head out on the road to take on the Lenawee Christian Cougars at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Litchfield has three straight wins, Lenawee Christian has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Thursday, Litchfield made easy work of Waldron and carried off a 12-5 victory. The Terriers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lenawee Christian duked it out with Hudson on Friday. The Cougars fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-1.

Litchfield pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 18.6 runs this season. As for Lenawee Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Litchfield couldn't quite get it done against Lenawee Christian in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Can the Terriers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
