Volleyball Recap: Lexington Has No Trouble Against West Holmes

Lexington barely beat West Holmes the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Minutemen put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Minutemen have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lexington took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-9.

Bella Temple had an outrageously good game as she had five kills, five digs, four aces, and one block. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Lexington was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive games dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why West Holmes lost, don't look at Matilyn Fair. Despite the final result, she had five aces and three digs.

Lexington's record is now 2-0. As for West Holmes, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Lexington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Madison Comprehensive on the 21st. As for West Holmes, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Dover on the 21st.
