Recap: Edgewood Red Wolves vs. Space Coast Vipers
The Edgewood Red Wolves lost against the Space Coast Vipers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Edgewood's tough 52-27 defeat to Space Coast might stick with them for a while. Edgewood has struggled against Space Coast recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Edgewood's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Eddie Monterrubio, who scored 14 points, and Corbin Snyder who scored 8 points along with 6 steals. Monterrubio scored a full 51.9% of Edgewood's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Space Coast, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Edgewood will head out on the road to face off against Morningside Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morningside Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Edgewood in Florida (Morningside Academy is ranked 256th, while Edgewood is ranked 611th). Space Coast and Sebastian River will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Sebastian River focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday.
