Football Recap: Highland Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Highland extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-4. They were beaten by the Bakersfield Drillers 63-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Scots were not able to get on the board.

As for Bakersfield, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.8 points on average this season.

Bakersfield found their leader in sophomore Elon Mackey, who rushed for 59 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 132 yards and two TDs.

Highland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 34-0 defeat against Bakersfield Christian on the 10th. As for Bakersfield, they have also already played their next contest, a 50-7 victory against Centennial on the 10th.
