Football Recap: Manchester Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Discovery Christian last Friday, Manchester Academy came back down to earth. The Mavericks were outmatched by the Kirk Academy Raiders and fell 62-29. The Mavericks have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Manchester Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Kirk Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester Academy will take on Regents at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mavericks will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Kirk Academy, they will square off against Winona Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Stars' defense has only allowed 14.6 points per game this season, so the Raiders' offense will have their work cut out for them.
