Baseball Game Preview: Parkside Rams vs. Queen Anne's County Lions

The Parkside Rams will square off against the Queen Anne's County Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Parkside's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Queen Anne's County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, Parkside didn't have quite enough to beat Snow Hill and fell 6-5. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Queen Anne's County waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 11-8.

The team relied heavily on Travis Sutch, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Queen Anne's County is undefeated when Sutch posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Chance Hegedus, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Queen Anne's County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Queen Anne's County's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Parkside, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Parkside came out on top in a nail-biter against Queen Anne's County in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
