Softball Recap: Goshen RedHawks vs. Mishawaka Cavemen
Goshen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 16-1 to the Mishawaka Cavemen. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Goshen of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.
Goshen saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaelyn Marcum, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Goshen's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Mishawaka, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 15-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goshen will take on East Noble at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Noble is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Mishawaka, they are on the road again on Wednesday to play Concord at 5:30 p.m.
