Basketball Game Preview: Bristol Panthers vs. LaBrae Vikings

Bristol is 1-7 against LaBrae since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Panthers will take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

While Bristol's victory against Badger wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Braves 62-59. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely LaBrae's strategy against Champion on Friday. The Vikings blew past the Golden Flashes 60-36. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Golden Flashes are ranked 798th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

LaBrae's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Bristol, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Bristol came up short against LaBrae in their previous matchup back in January of 2025, falling 65-55. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
