Softball Game Preview: Apple Springs Eagles vs. Neches Tigers

The Apple Springs Eagles will face off against the Neches Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Apple Springs has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Apple Springs is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 18-6 to Wells.

Apple Springs saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faith Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Kymber Roberts was another, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Even though they lost, Apple Springs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. This was only their first loss (out of six games) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Neches got their first taste of in-conference action last Friday and they started things off strong. They came out on top against Wells by a score of 13-9. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Apple Springs' loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Neches, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4.
