Volleyball Recap: Halls Comes Up Short

Halls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Anderson County Mavericks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2016.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-7.

Emerie Bullock was nothing short of spectacular for Anderson County: she had 15 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Bullock a new career-high in assists (five).

Halls' loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Anderson County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Halls is set to face off against their familiar foe Powell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Anderson County will take on rival Knoxville Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
