It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Pickens ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They beat the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers by a goal, winning 4-3. The win was some much needed relief for Pickens as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Caleb Allen and Ashton Smith scored all four of Pickens' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Pickens' victory bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Blue Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.

Pickens didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 6-4 win against Landrum on the 23rd. As for Blue Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 9-0 loss against Greer on the 22nd.
