Grimsley skates past Southeast Guilford with ease

The Grimsley Whirlies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Southeast Guilford for the full four quarters, racking up a 89-45 victory on the road. Grimsley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Grimsley to victory were Nick Keith and Richard Goods. Keith scored 26 points along with eight assists and five steals, while Goods dropped a triple-double on 25 points, 18 rebounds, and ten blocks. Goods hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 14 straight games. Another player making a difference was Henry Trent, who scored 15 points.

Grimsley is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Southeast Guilford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Grimsley will head out on the road to square off against Northwest Guilford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest Guilford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 278th, while Grimsley is ranked 113th). As for Southeast Guilford, they will be playing at home against Northern Guilford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
