Softball Recap: Sault Area Comes Up Short

If Sault Area was riding high fresh off their 15-5 takedown of Marquette on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Devils came up short against the Redmen on Tuesday, falling 20-5. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Redmen earlier this season, when they won 15-5.

Sault Area's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Marquette, they moved to 7-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Sault Area will venture away from home to take on Traverse City West at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Marquette, they will square off against Superior Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
