Bonita Vista was handed a eight-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Montgomery Aztecs 4-2. That's more bragging rights for the Barons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

DEMARCO ROJAS spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Bonita Vista's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was TYLER MAULA, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Bonita Vista's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Montgomery, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-11.
