Williamsport's and Walkersville's contest on Monday was close at halftime, but Williamsport turned on the heat in the second half with 41 points. The Williamsport Wildcats put the hurt on the Walkersville Lions with a sharp 59-35 win. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Williamsport was led to victory by Zay Oree and Jahmeir Byrd. Oree went 7-for-12 on his way to 16 points and six assists, while Byrd almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. Byrd's morning made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Markell Campbell, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Williamsport pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points over those games. As for Walkersville, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Coming up, Williamsport will face off against South Hagerstown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Walkersville, they will challenge Urbana at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Urbana is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.5 points per game this season.
