Volleyball Recap: Maxwell Wildcats vs. Brady Eagles
Maxwell was the 3-2 winner over Brady when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Maxwell Wildcats fell just short of the Brady Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Maxwell actually scored more points across those five sets (97-92), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 13-25, 25-23, 25-15, 15-9.
Even though they lost, Maxwell was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brady only served five.
Maxwell's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Brady, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Maxwell will face off against Hyannis at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Maxwell is facing Hyannis at the right time seeing as Hyannis is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Brady, they are on the road again on Friday to play Mullen at 4:30 p.m.
