Basketball Recap: Pittsville Drops Highest Score of Season Against Port Edwards

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pittsville). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Port Edwards Blackhawks 78-26. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won eight matches in a row.

Pittsville's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. As for Port Edwards, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pittsville will welcome Athens at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Port Edwards, they will challenge New Lisbon at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
