The home team had won the previous five meetings between Poquoson and Bruton, and Bruton kept the tradition alive. The Islanders fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Islanders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Poquoson took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-9, 24-26, 25-20, 15-11.

Poquoson's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Bruton, the win snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 5-14 record.
