Baseball Recap: North Plainfield Comes Up Short

North Plainfield has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.61 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They lost 10-2 to the Princeton Day Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Canucks of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Victor Ceda made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

North Plainfield's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Princeton Day, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.

North Plainfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Princeton Day, they are taking a road trip to challenge Rutgers Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
