Basketball Recap: Johnson Takes a Loss

Johnson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Steele Knights, falling 82-54. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 89-51 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2022.

Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Steele, they pushed their record up to 25-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Johnson will face off against San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnson is facing San Marcos at the right time seeing as San Marcos is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Steele, they will take on Clemens at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Steele knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 23 matches -- so hopefully Clemens likes a good challenge.
