San Diego Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Avitia has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 22 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caleb Lindquist, who posted 14 points and three steals.

San Diego Academy's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Cristo Rey, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season.
