Basketball Recap: Fort Payne Comes Up Short

Fort Payne lost against Gadsden City last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fort Payne Wildcats fell 52-42 to the Gadsden City Titans.

Fort Payne's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Gadsden City, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-10.

Fort Payne and Gadsden City should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Fort Payne will square off against Southside at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 135 places (31 vs. 166). Similarly, Gadsden City (ranked 44th) will meet Whitesburg Christian Academy (ranked 183rd) at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
