Basketball Game Preview: North Cobb Warriors vs. Marietta Blue Devils

North Cobb and Marietta are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The North Cobb Warriors will take on the Marietta Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for North Cobb and five for Marietta.

On Wednesday, North Cobb was beaten by Wheeler 82-29. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Wildcats are ranked second).

Meanwhile, Marietta was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 61-55 to Cherokee.

North Cobb's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Marietta, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

North Cobb strolled past Marietta in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 73-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Cobb since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
