Softball Recap: New London Comes Up Short

New London was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 20-9 to the Ellis RVT Eagles. The Whalers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

New London's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Ellis RVT, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

New London didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-9 loss against Harvard Ellis Tech on the 29th. As for Ellis RVT, they will head out on the road to challenge Putnam at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Clippers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.29 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
