Basketball Recap: Cromwell Gets the Win

Cromwell won the last time they faced Mesabi East, and Brady Dahl did his part to make sure it happened again. The Cromwell Cardinals were the clear victor by a 65-44 margin over the Mesabi East Giants on Saturday thanks in part to Dahl, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine boards. He has been hot recently, having also posted three or more steals the last three times he's played.

Cromwell's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Mesabi East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cromwell Cardinals challenge the Browerville/Eagle Valley Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Cromwell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.2 points per game this season. As for Mesabi East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crosby-Ironton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Mesabi East is facing Crosby-Ironton at the right time seeing as Crosby-Ironton is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
