Soccer Recap: Bryan County Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Bryan County after they claimed the first goal on Thursday, however, they wouldn't score again. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Swainsboro Tigers. Bryan County were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Swainsboro apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Bryan County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Swainsboro, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

Coming up, Bryan County will take on Treutlen at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Bryan County will be up against Treutlen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.79 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Swainsboro, they will challenge Toombs County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
