Basketball Game Preview: East Central Eagles vs. Pine City Dragons

East Central and Pine City are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The East Central Eagles will host the Pine City Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Pine City likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, East Central made easy work of Chisholm and carried off a 76-53 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Pine City came into Thursday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 73-65 victory over Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] on Thursday.

East Central is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Pine City, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.

East Central strolled past Pine City in their previous meeting on January 3rd by a score of 76-61. Does East Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pine City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
