Soccer Game Preview: South Lenoir vs. East Duplin + How To Watch

South Lenoir is 0-8-1 against East Duplin since September of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Blue Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Having struggled with ten losses in a row, South Lenoir turned things around against Southwest Onslow on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Stallions a 1-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for East Duplin, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They skirted past Pender 3-2. Given East Duplin's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Pender are ranked 312th) , the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

East Duplin's win bumped their record up to 13-7-2. As for South Lenoir, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 6-12-2.

South Lenoir couldn't quite get it done against East Duplin in their previous meeting two weeks ago as they fell 2-0. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
