Baseball Recap: Millennium Victorious

Millennium got themselves on the board against Corona del Sol on Tuesday, but Corona del Sol never followed suit. They came out on top against the Aztecs by a score of 4-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

The result came thanks to David Sheppard's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks. That hit marked the first that he allowed this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cy Buchberger, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Landon Swinheart, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Millennium's record now sits at 14-5. As for Corona del Sol, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3.

Millennium will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Aztecs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
