Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jillian Anderson and Teagan Payne Lead Amboy to Victory

Amboy lost to Morrison back in September, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Clippers won by a set and slipped past the Mustangs 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Clippers have posted since September 15th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Amboy got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-19, 19-25, 25-22.

Leading Amboy to victory were Teagan Payne and Jillian Anderson. Payne had 15 digs, while Anderson had 12 digs, six kills, and two aces. That's the most digs Anderson has posted over her last nine contests.

They weren't the only good servers: Amboy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are undefeated (3-0) when they serve at least ten aces.

Amboy's record now sits at 6-14-1. As for Morrison, they dropped their record down to 11-14-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Amboy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Fulton on the 16th. Morrison has also already played their next matchup (against Polo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
