Ellison wins going away against Chicago Tech

Recap: Ellison Lions vs. Chicago Tech

The Ellison Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They took down Chicago Tech 77-59. The victory was familiar territory for Ellison who now have three in a row.

Defeat or not, Chicago Tech got some senior leadership from Jonathan Harris who scored 29 points and Micquel Triplett who scored 20 points. The match was Harris' ninth in a row with at least ten points.

Ellison's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Chicago Tech, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.

Ellison will play host again and welcome South Shore International, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Shore International will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 686th, while Ellison is ranked 185th). Chicago Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kelvyn Park at 4:30 p.m. on January 10, 2024. Kelvyn Park will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
