Basketball Recap: Belgreen Takes a Loss

Belgreen lost against Deshler back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Belgreen Bulldogs were dealt a 74-43 defeat at the hands of the Deshler Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Tigers are ranked 18th).

Deshler found their leader in sophomore Reece Davis, who went 11 for 17 on her way to 28 points.

Belgreen's loss dropped their record down to 22-8. As for Deshler, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.

Belgreen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-36 win against Covenant Christian on the 3rd. As for Deshler, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 95-31 victory against Brooks on the 3rd.
