Volleyball Recap: Spanish Fork Takes a Loss

Spanish Fork came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Wasatch Wasps. Considering the last time the Dons couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

While Spanish Fork ultimately came up short, they really made Wasatch work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 27-25, 25-17.

Spanish Fork's offense was headlined by Taylee Reid and Eva Prior, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Sarah Harwood and her 12 assists.

Spanish Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Wasatch, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Spanish Fork wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Pleasant Grove on the 14th. As for Wasatch, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Rich on the 10th.
