Basketball Recap: Peoria Christian Comes Up Short

Peoria Christian lost against Illini Central/Greenview back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Chargers fell 49-40 to Illini Central/Greenview. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Peoria Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore IZZIE GEORGE posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of LIZZY DAMERELL, who put up eight points.

Peoria Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Peoria Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-40 loss against Illini Central on the 20th. As for Illini Central/Greenview, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central at 6:00 p.m.
