Basketball Recap: Jamestown Comes Up Short

Jamestown lost against Fayette back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Jamestown fell to the Fayette Falcons 65-61.

Kaleb Friebe went supernova for Fayette, going 10-for-15 en route to 28 points and three steals. What's more, Friebe also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2023. Charles Alexander was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 11 points and four steals.

Jamestown has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points over those games. Fayette picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-21.

Jamestown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fayette, they will face off against Westran at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Westran is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season.
