Volleyball Game Preview: Hilliard Darby Panthers vs. Beavercreek Beavers

The Hilliard Darby Panthers will head out to challenge the Beavercreek Beavers at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Hilliard Darby didn't have quite enough to beat Dublin Jerome and fell 3-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Hilliard Darby sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-18, 16-25, 25-15, 20-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Beavercreek entered their tilt with Centerville on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Elks.

Beavercreek's win came from a few key players Hilliard Darby will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Harrison Barnett, who had 16 assists and three digs. He is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Hilliard Darby's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Beavercreek, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

Hilliard Darby took their victory against Beavercreek in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
