Volleyball Recap: Grayslake Central Takes a Loss

Grayslake Central lost against Stevenson back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rams fell 2-0 to the Patriots.

Grayslake Central's offense was headlined by Ben Boron and George Hollenstein, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Bryce Tupaz and his 16 assists. He also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Hil Patel, racking up three apiece.

Grayslake Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Stevenson, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grayslake Central will head out to square off against Grant Community at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stevenson, they will take on Mundelein at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
