Basketball Recap: New Life Academy Comes Up Short

New Life Academy saw some tournament action on Thursday. They lost 59-36 to the Union Grove Christian Patriots. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Calvin Miller was a one-man wrecking crew For Union Grove Christian. as he went 10-for-21 to rack up 23 points and six steals. The matchup was Miller's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Johnson, who posted nine points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.

New Life Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Union Grove Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, New Life Academy will face off against Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union Grove Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-26 win against Fellowship Baptist Academy on the 14th.
