Shareef O'Neal of Windward (Los Angeles) is one of the more intriguing names in high school basketball's Class of 2018.

The 6-foot-7 freshman forward is the son of future hoops hall-of-famer Shaquille O'Neal, among the most decorated centers in basketball history.

Shaq won four NBA titles, was a 15-time All-Star and league MVP in 2000. Currently an analyst for TNT, he's also found time to release four rap albums and appear in over a dozen films.

MaxPreps photographer Heston Quan was among those on hand this week as "The Little Aristotle" and his Windward teammates crushed El Segundo 88-38 in an early-season tournament. The Wildcats improved to 4-0 and will meet University (Los Angeles) in a semifinal matchup Friday night.

Windward could be a team to watch in the coming years. Joining O'Neal on the roster is sophomore guard Jalen Harris, one of the most promising young players in Southern California, along with productive fellow freshmen Jules Bernard and Payton Moore.
Windward is 4-0 this season after beating El Segundo on Tuesday.
