Silverado had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Sports Leadership & Management on Thursday. The Skyhawks were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Bulls. Considering the Skyhawks have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Giovanni Guariglia and Preston Clark made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Guariglia struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Clark pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). At bat, Guariglia got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three runs, while Clark went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Guariglia is becoming a predictor of Silverado's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 9-10-1 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Hogan Hawkins was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Silverado is undefeated when Hawkins posts two or more runs, but 7-10-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Marek Piekarski, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Silverado always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sports Leadership & Management only posted an OBP of .143.

The win was the third in a row for Silverado, bringing their record up to 18-10-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.

Silverado does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will square off against Cimarron-Memorial at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
