Basketball Recap: Middlebury Takes a Loss

If Middlebury was riding high fresh off their 51-14 takedown of Montpelier last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Middlebury Tigers took a 37-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the U-32 Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 51-28 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Middlebury now has a losing record at 1-2. As for U-32, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Middlebury will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Harwood at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. U-32 and Lyndon Institute will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th.
