Football Game Preview: JAG Jaguars vs. Central Red Devils + How To Watch

JAG is 0-10 against Central since October of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Jaguars will head out on the road to challenge the Red Devils at 8:00 p.m. JAG has given up an average of 46.5 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when JAG challenged Enterprise on Friday. The Jaguars were outmatched by the Wildcats and fell 42-6. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Wildcats are ranked 13th).

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Central and Opelika, and Central kept the tradition alive. The Red Devils blew past the Bulldogs 42-6 on Friday. Considering the Red Devils have won seven matchups by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

JAG's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Central, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

JAG took a serious blow against Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 52-14. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Red Devils' Jayshaun Woodhouse, who rushed for 116 yards and three TDs on only nine carries, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. Now that the Jaguars know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
