Softball Recap: Palisades Comes Up Short

Palisades lost against South Mecklenburg back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Palisades Pumas came up short against the South Mecklenburg Sabres, falling 20-2. The contest marked the Pumas' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Sanaa Dorsey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

This is the second loss in a row for Palisades and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for South Mecklenburg, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Coming up, Palisades will be playing in front of their home fans against Olympic at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Mecklenburg, they will head out to take on Providence at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in South Mecklenburg's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
