Tomball has gone 9-1 against Waller recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cougars will look to defend their home court against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Tomball sitting on three straight victories and Waller on four.

On Friday, Tomball made easy work of Klein Forest and carried off a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Tomball took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-11, 25-9.

Adrianne Ryan and Kaia Stricklin were among the main playmakers for Tomball as the former had nine aces and six digs and the latter had 18 assists and three aces. That's the most aces Stricklin has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good servers: Tomball was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 16 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Waller got the win against Langham Creek on Monday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Waller won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 26-24, 25-20.

Tomball's victory bumped their record up to 37-6. As for Waller, their win bumped their record up to 30-17.

Tomball beat Waller 3-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
