Basketball Recap: Carson Takes a Loss

Carson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 69-55 to the Verbum Dei Jesuit Eagles.

Douglas Robinson went supernova For Verbum Dei Jesuit., dropping a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Robinson now owns an excellent 54.5% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Chase Coleman, who posted 11 points.

Carson now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Verbum Dei Jesuit, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Carson will face off against Palos Verdes at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Colts will be up against the Sea Kings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Verbum Dei Jesuit, they will challenge San Pedro at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
