Centennial won the last time they faced Willow Canyon and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Coyotes were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Coyotes, who have now won 13 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Cohen Baack was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on David Daniels, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Liu Rodriguez Jr, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Centennial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Willow Canyon only posted an OBP of .364.

Centennial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Willow Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7.

Centennial will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
