Auburn has gone a perfect 10-0 against Opelika recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Auburn is taking a road trip to square off against Opelika at 6:30 p.m. Auburn's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Opelika's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Auburn is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: Spanish Fort, who was ranked ninth at the time (Auburn was ranked 20th). Auburn fell just short of Spanish Fort by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Toros: they've now lost five in a row.

Lily Brewer spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Daley Alsobrook made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Opelika waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Eagles 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Opelika pushed their record up to 14-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Auburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.

Auburn came out on top in a nail-biter against Opelika when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will Auburn repeat their success, or does Opelika has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
