If Tekamah-Herman wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Ponca, they should've done a better job of containing Oliva Taylor. The Indians had just enough and edged out the Tigers 3-2 on Monday with plenty of help from Taylor, who had 17 digs and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times she's played.
Despite the defeat, Tekamah-Herman saw an underclassman step up: freshman Maryn Paul had 32 digs and one assist.
The win snapped Ponca's losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 13-17 record. As for Tekamah-Herman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-25.
Ponca has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Oakland-Craig on the 28th. Tekamah-Herman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
